Lipok's Birthday
It was Lipok's Birthday last weekend and so a few of us went to his house and had a great lunch and some fun together. There are 4 children here now and three of them are running around and so it's quite an event when we all get together. Kate loves playing with the other kids and it's really fun to see them dancing and running together.
Cowboy Kate
My Grandma made Kate a really cute Texan outfit and shipped it across the ocean to us. She made the shirt out of red handkerchiefs and the jeans out of an older pair of my Grandpa's jeans. These days it's getting increasingly difficult to take pictures of Kate as she can hardly sit still for a few seconds.

Bev and I took a boat across the river to Laos and they had large vats there with different animals soaking in some sort of alcohol. People were encouraged to drink it if they needed energy or strength. True story.
We celebrated my 30th birthday!!! Jim and Ruthie bought me this lovely birthday cake. It was so nice to be with some family for this special day.

Beautiful Thailand
Jim, Ruthie, Dave and Kate got to visit the largest aquarium in Southeast Asia.
We got to ride elephants!
We were so happy to have Dave's parents, Jim and Ruthie, come and visit with us in Thailand!
There were huge apples from Japan that were larger than the pineapples!!
Beverley got to come and visit us too!! Here we were trying on some hats in a tourist area of Bangkok, just for fun.

Bumrungrad Hospital, Bangkok
In early July we went to Thailand for a multitude of purposes. Dave had a bunch of tests done at Bumrungrad Hospital to try and discover what medical condition he has. After meeting 4 doctors/specialists they have come to the conclusion that Dave does probably have mild petit mal seizures as well as ADD, but they don't think that the seizures will get any worse and they haven't caused any sort of brain damage. They have prescribed medicine and it has helped to stop the symptoms of his hand shakings and seems to help. There are some side effects so we are in communication with the doctors and hoping that those will go away.
We were so overwhelmed by the love, prayers, and support of so many people during this season of our life and we want to deeply thank you.
Family Outing
Currently we have five couples that are a part of Y Shillong and sometimes we like to get together for some fellowship and fun. We went to an area called Golf Links that has lots of green grass and some beautiful rolling hills. We played a couple of games and had some snacks. It's neat to see the dynamics of our base change as we have more and more families and small children running around. One of the little girls here is called "Anna" and for a couple of months now Kate calls all children, boys and girls, "Anna".
